| The Finance Department provides for the administration and management of the Township’s finances including cash management, financial reporting, accounts receivable and payable, audits, payroll, permit fees, and utility billings for water, sewer and refuse services. The Finance Director assists the Township Manger in developing the annual budget for all funds.

Utility bills are issued quarterly for water, sewer, and/or refuse services. Depending on the location of your residence, you may be billed for any or all of the aforementioned services.
Bills are issued by the 10th of the month, during the months of January, April, July and October. Meter reading is performed the month prior to the billing, namely December, March, June and September.

Sewer $52.60 per unit per quarter

PER THE COUNTY OF LEHIGH: Starting in the year 2006, Lehigh County property taxes will NOT be collected at the Township Building. Lehigh County property taxes and Salisbury Township property taxes will now be billed and collected separately. Please read the Property tax bills carefully for payment instructions. If you have any questions, call Lehigh County at 610-782-3112.
Township Real Estate Tax bills are mailed by the first of April. School District Real Estate Tax bills are mailed by the first of July. Payment of the Real Estate Taxes can be made three ways:
1) In person at the municipal building – please check the Tax Office hours on your bill; 2) By mail; or
3) At all Wachovia Bank branches through November.
Please note that the Finance Office does not collect property taxes. This function is handled and administered by the elected office of Tax Collector, Mrs. Linda J. Minger. Please contact the Mrs. Minger directly with all Real Estate Tax inquiries.
Earned Income Tax Collection
Salisbury Township levies an Earned Income Tax on its citizens and all non-residents who work in the Township. The rate is one percent (1%) of earned income, equally shared between the Township and the School District. The Township utilizes the services of Berkheimer Associates for the collection of the earned income tax. Tax forms, information, and assistance may be obtained from them at:

Other Services
Moving Permit
Moving permits can be obtained from the Finance Office. The fee is $1.00. You can also download a moving permit application form and submit it, together with the $1.00 fee, for approval. A moving permit is required for residents moving into, out of, or within the Township. Copies are supplied to Berkheimer Associates so that they can update personal tax rolls. Individuals moving into the Township can also obtain a recycling bin at the time you file for your moving permit. Individuals who fail to obtain a moving permit can be subject to a fine.
Recycling Bin
Recycling bins are available at the Finance Office window for a fee of $7.00.
Freon (Removal) Decal
Freon decals are available at the Finance Office window for a fee of $20.00. A decal is required for any resident wishing to discard an appliance containing freon. A decal must be purchased before pick-up can be arranged with the refuse hauler.
