Information Regarding Clean Up Efforts for Recent Snow Storm Event
As everyone is aware, the Township has experienced a recent snow storm event which brought down a large number of trees, branches, and debris throughout the Township. At this time, no official decision has been made on a long term plan to hold another curbside branch collection. Given the unusual amount of debris, we may not be able to realistically perform such a task with limited manpower.

For the short term, residents must understand that our priority is to remove trees or tree branches (unless power lines are involved) from blocked roadways.

Unfortunately, the Township is unable to provide private tree service for those properties that have experienced debris from fallen private trees and shrubs, etc. In those cases, the property owner will need to make arrangements to have the debris disposed of or taken to the appropriate drop-off centers when they are open.

Of course volume may also dictate whether the Township will need to staff additional manpower at the drop off centers to help the existing crew. John Andreas, Director of Public Works, is assessing this matter. We discourage residents from placing these items at the curbside for the time being.

Again, we must stress that this in an unusual time and our first priority is to facilitate areas that are without power and assisting utilities if called upon.

Thank you.
