Ceremony Held to Recognize Salisbury Township Volunteers
On Thursday, April 19, 2012, the Salisbury Township Board of Commissioners held a special ceremony at the Township Municipal Building honoring five volunteers whose efforts and dedicated service benefit the citizens of the Salisbury Township community. 

The volunteers recognized were: 

  • Chad Ekdahl.   Mr. Ekdahl has been a volunteer firefighter with the Western Salisbury Fire Department since 2001 and currently serves as Fire Lieutenant.  He also served as a cub scouts leader and SYA baseball coach.

  • Chris Trenge.  Mr. Trenge volunteers as a Wrestling Director with the Salisbury Youth Association for the past 3 years.

  • Jeff Rothrock.  Mr. Rothrock has held multiple directorships with the Salisbury Youth Association.  He has been responsible for baseball related activities including planning and conducting fundraisers, baseball camps and coaching clinics since 2008.

  • Mark Wilson.  Mr. Wilson has served for several years as a baseball coach with the Hamilton Park Athletic Association and assists in the care of the ballfields.  He also serves as a member of the Salisbury Recreation Advisory Committee and is a boy scouts leader.

  • Samuel Darrohn.  Mr. Darrohn has served with the Hamilton Park Athletic Association in coaching and working the fields.  Mr. Darrohn also volunteers with the “Dream Come True” organization and assists neighbors and senior citizens with clearing snow from their driveways.
Ceremony Held to Recognize Salisbury Township Volunteers Commissioner Ackerman accepted a plaque on behalf of Mr. Samuel Darrohn, who was unable to attend. Mr. Darrohn volunteers with the Hamilton Park Athletic Association.


Commissioner Brown presented plaque to Chad Ekdahl, who volunteers as a volunteer firefighter and Fire Lieutenant
with the Western Salisbury Fire Department.

Ceremony Held to Recognize Salisbury Township Volunteers Commissioner Martucci presented plaque to Chris Trenge who volunteers with the Salisbury Youth Association.


Commissioner Brinton thanked Jeff Rothrock for his service to the
Salisbury Township community as a volunteer with the Salisbury Youth Association.


Commissioner Seagreaves presented a plaque to Mark Wilson, Ph.D., who volunteers with the Hamilton Park Athletic Association
