SECTION 10-1 INVITATION TO BID TOWNSHIP OF SALISBURY The Township of Salisbury will receive sealed bids for the construction of a water main replacement along Flexer Avenue, north of Lindberg Avenue to Green Acres Drive. The work will include the installation of approximately 2,430 linear feet of 12" water main and appurtenances. Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 PM (prevailing time) on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the office of Keystone Consulting Engineers, Inc., 6235 Hamilton Boulevard, Wescosville, PA 18106-9797. Bids will be opened Thursday, June 3, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at the Township of Salisbury Municipal Building, 3000 South Pike Avenue, Allentown, PA 18103, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids should be sealed, marked and addressed as follows: TOWNSHIP OF SALISBURY PROPOSAL FOR: Flexer Avenue Water Main Replacement Mailed Bids must be placed in a separate carrier envelope noted "BID ENCLOSED". All mailed bids must be received at the office of Keystone Consulting Engineers, Inc by Wednesday, June 2, 2010 by 2:00 P.M. Copies of the Drawings, Specifications and Bid Forms may be examined and obtained at Keystone Consulting Engineers, Inc., 6235 Hamilton Boulevard, Wescosville, PA 18106, upon request and deposit of Seventy-Five Dollars ($75.00) per set. The full amount of the deposit for one set of documents will be refunded to a bona fide bidder who returns the documents in good condition within ten (10) days after the date of the bid opening. Each bid must be accompanied by Bid Security made payable to the Township of Salisbury in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid price and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 5.01 of the General Conditions. The successful bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount equal to the Contract Price and meeting the requirements of Paragraph 5.01 of the General Conditions. The project is subject to minimum wage rates in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.
