Drop Off Center Operator

Salisbury Township seeks an operator for its yard waste drop-off centers at Franko Park and Devonshire Rd for the 2021 season. The work schedule for the position will be commencing the first Monday in April through the last Saturday in November.  The drop off centers hours of operation will be Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00am-6:00pm [NOTE:  Hours are 10:00am-5:00pm only during the month of November] and Saturdays from 8:00am-1:00pm.   Weeks of operation will alternate with each site, beginning with the Franko Drop-off site on Monday, April 5th and ending with the Devonshire Drop-off site the week of November 22nd. The operator will be responsible for checking visitors I.D.’s to ensure residency, making sure only appropriate materials (per Township standards) are dropped off at the site for recycling and directing traffic. The position requires working outside, possibly in adverse weather conditions, and to have frequent interaction with the public as well as regular standing, walking and/or lifting of objects up to 50 lbs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to maintain appropriate social distancing, there will be no physical interaction between Township staff and the public.  Residents must be able to unload materials and empty containers themselves.
