PROPOSAL FOR: Lindberg Park Secondary Pathways and Groundcover Restoration Project

BID ADVERTISEMENT

Salisbury Township will receive sealed bids for the construction of the Lindberg Park Secondary Pathways and Groundcover Restoration Project, until 2:00 PM (Prevailing Time) on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Salisbury Township Municipal Building, 2900 South Pike Avenue, Allentown, PA 18103, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids must be in triplicate, sealed, marked and addressed as follows:

PROPOSAL FOR: Lindberg Park Secondary Pathways
 and Groundcover Restoration Project

This project involves, but is not limited to: installation of 6-8′ wide pervious pathways, using bituminous asphalt or an alternate, Flexi-Pave as manufactured by KBI Inc., benches, bicycle racks and signs, transition of a lawn area to a meadow, and restoration of bare densely shaded areas of by air tilling amending the soil and seeding with a native groundcover seed.

Contract documents, Drawings and Technical Specifications, are on file at the Salisbury Township Municipal Building, 2900 South Pike Avenue, Allentown, PA., 18103 and at URDC, 28 West Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018, 610-865-0701 where they may be inspected between 8:30am-4:30 p.m., Mon-Fri. Electronic copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained from URDC, for a non­refundable charge of Fifty ($50.00) Dollars per set, payable to Urban Research & Development Corp.

A Pre-Bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Township Municipal Building, followed by a visit to the site for those interested.

Bid security in the form of a certified check or bank draft, payable to “Salisbury Township”, cash or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to Ten (10%) Percent of the bid amount shall be submitted with each bid.  This is a Prevailing Wage Job.

The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for the Performance Bond, the Labor and Material Payment Bond and the Maintenance Bond. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

Salisbury Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding when, in the opinion of the Township, such rejections or waivers shall be to its interest or advantage. Prior to awarding the Contract, Bids may be held by the Township for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of Bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidders.
